Each year, HBA awards
1) a publication grant to offset publication costs for a book manuscript in the field of British art or visual culture that has been accepted by a publisher
2) a travel award to a graduate student member who will be presenting a paper on British art or visual culture at an academic conference

Publication Grant: Kirsty Dootson
Kirsty was granted funds to support work on her forthcoming book on the history of color’s materiality in Britain.
Travel Award: Tobah Aukland-Peck
Tobah was granted funds to travel to a conference in Rochester, NY, where she presented on the material determinations of Turner’s graphic works and its relation to larger issues of resource extraction.
