About

Established in 1992, Historians of British Art (HBA) is an affiliate society of the North-America-based College Art Association (CAA). HBA promotes scholarship and other professional endeavors related to British art and architecture, broadly conceived in terms of place and time. With an international membership, HBA hosts sessions at the annual CAA conference and organizes private, expert-led visits for its members to exhibitions, auctions, and fairs involving British art.

Academics, independent scholars, museum professionals, collectors, journalists, critics, dealers, and art enthusiasts generally are all welcome as HBA members.
